What are the functions of a Loss Inspector?
A loss inspector is the person technically able and in charge for making the inspection in claimed items and for the survey of the losses occurred in the accident, pointing then the cause and extension of the damages.
In addition of the insurance technical knowledge, this professional must be capable of identifying and establishing the losses of the goods claimed (Examples: Cars, real states, electronic equipments, etc.)
The loss adjustment report follows and belongs to the insurance company that has the responsibility of taking care of the claim. However, the inspector may, when needed, help and guide its customer. | |
